Comments:
This big girl is a Giant Tremper Sunglow, 25% possible Super Giant. She is our mascot Zeus' offspring. You can see both of her parents on our breeder collection page. She is smooth sunshine yellow/orange throughout her body, with a nice plump carrot-tail. This girl is big, as in physically when compared to the other 2017 hatches, she's noticeably larger. She already weighs 55g at 4 months old, every week she's getting larger and gaining more weight. We aren't feeding her differently either, she prefers mealworms and she's fed the same portion as all other hatchlings/juveniles.
She's about to hit the weight necessary to consider her a Giant. Only time will tell if she turns out to be a Super Giant or not. You will usually know after 1-2 years old as Giants/Super Giants will grow and gain weight well beyond the first year. See below for Ron Tremper's Giant Genetics chart:
Super Giant X Super Giant = 100% Super Giant
Super Giant X Giant = 50% Super Giant / 50% Giant
Super Giant X Normal = 100% Giant
Giant X Giant = 25% Super Giant, 50% Giant, 25% Normal
Giant X Normal = 50% Giant / 50% Normal
This female's genes are solid, both parents are 100% high quality Giant Tremper genetics. You will be able to produce high quality sunglows and tremper albinos with her. She's going to make a wonderful breeder in this upcoming season.
